Test Site Sweden focuses on projects with the aim of developing test infrastructure or test methodology to support the verification phases of the automotive and transport sector.

The project portfolio of TSS is summarized in the table below. As can be seen TSS complements the winter testing with new test environments for active safety, intelligent transport systems and electrical vehicles. There are three types of environments where the virtual lab will allow for early conceptual research and development, in which demonstrations can be done with simulation and visualization. Full-scale Lab represents resources for prototype verification and testing of individual systems or complete vehicles. Reality Lab is based on the usage of existing infrastructure as far as possible, supplemented by future technologies and to some extent special environments, for the first step demonstrations of new concepts and systems.
